Growing up as a highly sensitive, empathic person in a fast-paced world is not easy.
Originally motivated by my own struggle with this challenge, I have dedicated my personal and professional life to finding ways of mastering the balance of physical, emotional, and mental health in sustainable ways.
Now, I help highly sensitive youth and adults overcome anxiety, and feel whole and at home in their bodies.
I have a Masters in Counseling Psychology from the LIOS graduate college of Saybrook University, and am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LH 60955881). Before becoming a counselor, I worked as a Licensed Massage Therapist (MA 60255388) in the medical field treating physical injury and imbalance. I received my BA from the University of Washington with a double major in Psychology and Visual Arts in 2004.
Learning is a passion of mine, and over the years I've worked with many wonderful teachers to explore various healing modalities. My continuing education includes two extensive practitioner training programs in Cross-Cultural Shamanism, Reiki, Craniosacral Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, EMDR, HeartMath Institute Certification program, Energy Medicine mentorship with Dr. Astrid Pujari (Seattle), Advanced Workshops with Dr. Joe Dispenza, and ongoing education from master teacher, Sri Sakthi Amma, in the Vedic traditions.
In addition to academic pursuits, I highly value learning through the experience of travel. I've lived in four different countries and traveled to 28 (and counting!). I love immersing myself in different cultures, and believe diversity to be one of life's greatest teachers.
I first entered the world of healing arts as a patient, and through the process of healing my mind and body found the calling to share what I've learned with others on this journey. I believe in the power and resilience of the human body and our capacity to heal. Wherever you may be in your own process of healing, it's my honor to support you in achieving your goals.
